Gram Panchayat Level Traffic Regulatory Committee

This is a coordination committee formed by incorporating representatives from various departments to streamline traffic control, road safety, and traffic management in the Grama Panchayat area. Operating under the supervision of the District Traffic Regulatory Committee, the Chairman of this local committee is the Grama Panchayat President, and the Convenor is an officer nominated by the District Police Chief.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study traffic-related issues within the Grama Panchayat limits and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Recommend measures to enhance road safety.
  • Suggest solutions for issues such as traffic congestion, hazard risks, and parking problems.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments regarding road signs, traffic control systems, and safety arrangements.
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure a safe and smooth transportation system for the public and commuters.
  • Support the local-level implementation of policies and directives issued by the District Traffic Regulatory Committee.
